Sound Healing

what is sound healing?

Sound healing is an ancient art that has roots across all nations and cultures in history. Sadly, most cultures have lost touch with these healing practices in today’s world as modern medicine has taken over. But more and more people are looking back to the old ways and discovering the power held in the ancient practices and how they line up with new discoveries of science.

You may wonder what sound healing is and how it works. All things are made up of energy at their core, and that energy vibrates at various frequencies. When different frequencies vibrate close together, they adapt to each other over time and eventually vibrate at the same frequency. The higher-vibration object will lower its vibration, and the lower-vibrating object will rise until matched.

This is known as the law of resonance. Take, for example, two grandfather clocks side by side with slightly different ticking beats. Over time, they will adapt to each other and begin ticking at the same beat. And that is an example of nonliving objects.

Living beings, such as animals, humans, and plants, are all vibrating at certain frequencies and can adapt to the various frequencies around them more quickly than nonliving things.

Sound healing instruments are unique because they hold a high vibration and do not adapt to the lower vibrations of their surroundings. In the law of resonance, where the two frequencies will adapt to each other, this means with sound healing, the lower vibration must rise to meet the higher vibration without the higher vibration losing its power.

Regarding people and animals, lower vibrations would be situations we label negative such as sadness, sickness, anxiety, stress, etc. Higher vibrations are those we label as positive such as love, joy, peace, healing, etc.

When people are immersed in the healing sounds of high-vibrating instruments, it can be a very healing experience. The high vibrations of the healing instruments create a gentle vibration in the body, detoxifying and releasing stress.

Although each person is unique and has their own individual experience with sound healing instruments, the most common benefits include (but are not limited to):

Relaxation, deep meditation, the release of stress, emotional balance, rejuvenated energy, calm mind, clarity, and release of anxiety.

There are many more benefits as well. When our bodies are allowed to relax and release stress, healing can begin. It is near impossible to have significant healing occur when the body is stressed and in survival mode.
